Book 3 in the Short vowel series further instills a love for reading as vocabulary and comprehension skills become more highly developed. Short o presents a range of interactive lessons with colorful graphics, funny poems, and entertaining stories. Readers are phonetically challenged to make short o word families, read these words and new sight words, and apply them in a variety of activity sections. The stories, Grades 3-6 reading levels, include many words from Short a – Book 1 and Short i – Book 2, purposely intended for reading practice and mastery. Readers who complete Book 3 will have advanced in their progression of phonics skills, become more efficient in decoding and encoding more complex text, broadened their vocabulary, and gained even more self-confidence in understanding what is read.
